Programs – Wellness

Wellness in schools has become an essential curriculum beyond physical fitness and competitive sports. AMLF offers a variety of life-enriching programs that augment core wellness requirements. We find inspiring practitioners to bring creative tools for a healthy body and mind. Yoga has been integrated into gym programs to teach flexibility, understand body mechanics, and introduce principles of stretching and strengthening. Mindfulness practice is being introduced to enhance concentration, emotional intelligence, self management and positive social interactions. Balanced nutrition emphasizes wellness using whole and organic foods with simple preparation skills. Kids learn to enjoy healthy choices and move away from junk food that can cause obesity and other diet-related issues.
